Marriage

Marriage is one of the most significant decisions you will ever make—second only to choosing Jesus Christ as your Savior. We believe marriage is a holy covenant designed by God to reflect His love and the relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:23–25). Your wedding day is important, but preparing for a lifelong, Gospel-centered marriage is even more vital.

At Wheaton Bible Church, we are committed to discipling couples before and after marriage. Whether you are engaged or seriously dating, we invite you to take intentional steps toward building a strong foundation for your future together.

Kids Crew

Kids Crew is a Thursday night program for children and students (6 weeks–8th grade) whose families are experiencing difficult life changes such as divorce, separation, death, addiction, or other hardships. Through age-appropriate, Bible-based teaching and caring relationships, kids learn to trust God, process their emotions, and find hope in Christ.  Parents are welcome to attend our Adult Thursday night support groups while their children participate in Kids Crew.

Each week, children connect with others facing similar challenges while exploring topics such as trust, anger, sadness, suffering, and God’s faithfulness. Kids have fun as they discover a biblical perspective on life’s hurts and disappointments.

Time: Thursday evenings 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Fall Semester | September 3 - December 10

Winter/Spring Semester |January 14–April 22

Grace Marriage is a year-long, Gospel-centered discipleship experience designed to enrich, protect, and grow your marriage. Through intentional time together, biblical guidance, and community support, you and your spouse will cultivate a relationship that reflects God’s grace.

This proactive marriage coaching isn’t counseling, therapy, or a seminar. It’s a grace-based approach that helps you “shift the drift,” strengthen communication, build connection, and keep your marriage thriving.

Everything needs attention to thrive… including your marriage. Whether your marriage is strong or struggling, new or seasoned, we invite you to take time for each other, grow closer to God, and let your marriage tell the story of His grace as you intentionally invest in your marriage.

Experience a different kind of date night! Take one Thursday evening a month to step away from the busyness of life and reconnect, reflect, and refocus on what matters most.

Who can attend?

Any married couple may attend. A couple does not have to be a member of Wheaton Bible Church to participate.

Pre-Marriage Mentoring

Pre-Marriage Mentoring is required for all couples getting married at Wheaton Bible Church or by a WBC pastor. We encourage couples to begin mentoring 4–6 months before their wedding date.
This process includes:

  • SYMBIS Assessment – A personalized tool to identify strengths and growth areas. Assessment must be taken prior to the workshop.
  • One-Day Workshop – Learn biblical principles for marriage and connect with mentor couples.
  • Mentor Sessions – 5–7 meetings with a mentor couple to review your assessment and grow together.
  • Pastoral Meetings – 2–3 sessions with the pastor officiating your wedding.

This is more than a checklist—it’s an investment in your lifelong journey together.
