Weddings

Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding!

Next to receiving Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, choosing a spouse is the most important decision you will make. We believe that marriage is a gift from the Lord, given to us to put His greatness on display for the world to see (James 1:17, Matthew 5:14–16).

Getting Married at Wheaton Bible Church

1. Complete Application

We would enjoy the opportunity to host your special day and help you prepare for your new life together! If you are interested in getting married at Wheaton Bible Church and/or by a Wheaton Bible Church pastor, the best place to start is by each the bride and groom filling out our Wedding Application Form

Please note that in order to best steward the resources of the church as well as the time of our staff and pastoral team, our wedding services are available to those who attend Wheaton Bible Church or Iglesia del Pueblo as their church home. They are also available to those who are related to a member of the church (e.g. son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter).

2. Participate in Preparation for Marriage

The process of becoming one happens when you stand before God and your family and friends and present your vows to each other. The process of living as one in a covenant relationship takes some practice and we want to provide you with the tools to get started. For this reason, as you are making plans for your big day, we ask that you participate in this class, offered in the fall and spring.

3. Get Involved with Biblical Community

This is an important time to be growing in your faith—both individually and in community—as you prepare to come together as a couple through marriage, Wheaton Bible Church provides many opportunities for you to get connected beyond Sunday mornings. If you are looking for a place to start, check out the following options:

Pre-Marriage Mentoring

Pre-Marriage Mentoring is required for all couples getting married at Wheaton Bible Church or by a WBC pastor. We encourage couples to begin mentoring 4–6 months before their wedding date.
This process includes:

  • SYMBIS Assessment – A personalized tool to identify strengths and growth areas. Assessment must be taken prior to the workshop.
  • One-Day Workshop – Learn biblical principles for marriage and connect with mentor couples.
  • Mentor Sessions – 5–7 meetings with a mentor couple to review your assessment and grow together.
  • Pastoral Meetings – 2–3 sessions with the pastor officiating your wedding.

This is more than a checklist—it’s an investment in your lifelong journey together.
