Join us MissionsFest Sundays October 16 and 23 as we celebrate stories of courage, hope, and compassion from our missionaries and partners serving in over 50 nations and here in our community.
Add your gift to our MissionsFest Giving Project as we resource our missionaries persevering where God has placed them, standing alongside others in their troubles. Poverty, war, displacement, spiritual darkness, and children at risk are only some of the steep challenges our missionaries face as they serve in Jesus’ name. Giving runs October 15 through 23.

MissionsFest: Classified

for our Senior Adults featuring WBC missionary and gifted graphic artist/storyteller Randy Capp—whose creative projects are introducing the Gospel to many in the Middle East and beyond.
MissionsFest Giving Project
Giving runs October 15 through 23
Whatever your means, your “over and above gift” will resource food for survival, programs for vulnerable children, trauma care, bring remote and unreached people groups access to God’s Word, and more.
Paired with Christian discipleship, these efforts are extending hope and opportunity to people facing troubles in Eastern Europe, South Asia, Africa, the Dominican Republic, and right here in our community.
Some sample outcomes of what your one-time gift will do include:
- $104 will feed the 135+ vulnerable children served by our Kenyan partner Josephine at the Hope for Life Center for one day. $54 will provide daily nutritious meals for ten children for a week!
- Dollars given will help renovate and open a Bread Bakery run by a church in Ukraine, providing 1,500 loaves of bread a day and employing 15-20 Ukrainians who had to flee their homes.
- $1,000 provides Gospel packets for every home in a rural Greek village of 250, as Hellenic Ministries aims to complete in 2023 its lofty goal of distributing a readable New Testament to every rural home in Greece.
- $2,000 supports a software technician aiding our WBC workers now bringing Scripture and discipleship resources to a large, unreached central Asian people group through a cell-phone app.
- $4,000 extends supplemental nutrition and emergency medical/dental care to the most vulnerable of the 2,000 children served by Kids Alive Dominican Republic.
- We are hopeful that our combined “above and beyond” giving will partially or fully fund the purchase of a needed large van for Puente del Pueblo. The purchase of a vehicle will be an incredible help in getting students to their programs and safely home at the end of the day.

October 16: Johnathan Macris | WBC Missionary
Johnathan Macris provides leadership to Hellenic Ministries, which is committed to proclaiming the Gospel in Greece and the surrounding Mediterranean world. HM’s outreaches include evangelism, Bible distribution, mercy ministries, refugee outreach, sports camps, broadcasting, and disciple making. Besides overseeing the Greek and international work of Hellenic, Johnathan pastors City Church and directs EuroRelief, the humanitarian relief arm of HM. Jonathan met his wife Miriam in Indonesia, where both of their parents were missionaries. A graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Johnathan and Miriam have raised their five children in Greece, where their son Justin & Evangelia (WBC missionaries) serve with them.
October 23: Kyle Reschke | WBC Pastor of Sending and Outreach
Kyle Reschke gives leadership to the Global and Local Outreach efforts of WBC. This encompasses nearly 90 missionaries serving in 50+ nations, mobilizing all generations to live “sent” lives, and our local outreach ministries—including Puente del Pueblo in West Chicago. Kyle joined the staff of Wheaton Bible Church in 2013, having most recently served as project leader for The 410 Bridge for a community development initiative in Haiti serving the deaf population. An avid learner, traveler, and sports enthusiast, Kyle holds multiple degrees in the sciences, humanities, and secondary education. An ordained pastor, he also serves on the Executive Pastoral Leadership Team for WBC. He and his wife, Joy, have two children.
