Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. —Jesus
We believe that our relationship with God changes everything about how we interact with the world and with our neighbors. We hope you do too.
The people of Wheaton Bible Church are eager to have an impact in the communities surrounding our campus. Here are just a few highlights of how we are making those connections, and where you could be involved:
- For over 10 years, volunteers have made it possible for our Puente del Pueblo ministry to offer quality after-school programming, free ESL tutoring, and more.
- Each year 1,000+ volunteers get together on a single Saturday to work, sweat, and play together as we serve our community during CareFest.
- At least 3 times a year our Life Groups serve together in the community in a variety of settings.
- Nearly 200 volunteers are involved in in deeply relational serving opportunities like connecting with refugee families as they get re-settled in our area or hosting children short-term for families experiencing a crisis.
If you’d like to learn more about how you can serve in our community through these or other opportunities, contact Local Outreach Assistant Chelsea Kesavadhana Carrillo or Local Outreach Director Joel Duncan.
