We are currently in a sermon series through the Gospel of Matthew! This year and a half journey, verse-by-verse and chapter-by-chapter, through this gospel that began May 2022 is giving us a picture of Jesus as Messiah-King who came to inaugurate and establish His Kingdom. He is a King who is like no other king, the King whom we need to know, love, and experience.

What is rest? And, where do you find rest? For us to find rest in our lives it comes through three words: “come”, “take” and “learn”. In this video, we sit down with Wheaton Bible Church Pastor Phil Shields as he reflects on the biblical concept of rest and Jesus’ words in Matthew 11:28-29.
Since the fall in the Garden of Eden, our work has been afflicted by sin. There seems to be no lack of challenges in our work, and as believers we often struggle to integrate our faith into our everyday lives. What culture defines as "success" is very different from how we see Jesus carry out His life, work, and ministry on earth. We sit down with Wheaton Bible Church elder Adam Mitchell, church member and Clinical Psychologist Dr. Charity Lane , and Pastor of Community Life, Mark Irvin, to discuss these ideas and to learn how to ground ourselves in the work Jesus has already accomplished.
Did you know that there are more than 100 names used to refer to Jesus throughout the New Testament, each one serving as a title for Him? We'll examine just a few of those names and the significance behind what each means for the person and character of Jesus. While we don't want to reduce Jesus's character to the names and titles used for him, they provide a significant foundation from which to better understand the character of Jesus as we see Him fulfill and carry out His mission throughout the Gospels.
Like a tree bearing fruit reflects the health of the tree, humanity bears fruit in accordance with what resides in our heart. Our words are an expression of who we are and what we believe. If we hold bitterness in our hearts, our words reflect bitterness. If we hold joy in our hearts, our words reflect joy. God’s words are greater than our words but, our words still hold a power that we often let go unbridled. In this video writer Catherine McNeil, shares her experience and relationship with words and the potency of our speech.
In Matthew 9:35-38, Jesus expressed His compassion for the crowd around Him, and then encouraged the disciples to pray that the Lord of the harvest would send out more workers into his field. Wheaton Bible Church member Jinny Deeds recently sat down with us to share her testimony of how the Lord and those in his field reached out to her in compassion with the gospel and how her heart bleeds to see others come to saving faith. Be encouraged today!
What exactly is repentance? How do we do it, and is it more than just saying, "sorry?" Melissa Duncan, Sergio Villanueva, and Phil Shields from the staff at Tri-Village Church, Iglesia del Pueblo, and Wheaton Bible Church, respectively, examine various biblical texts such as Psalm 51 and the words of Jesus to understand this vital area of the Christian walk and how God uses it in our life.
Since the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, prayer has allowed us a doorway into closeness with the Father. As we walk through and meditate on the teachings of Jesus in the gospels, what can we learn about this gift of prayer? When we take a closer look at the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:7-8, we see a brief but important lesson in approaching our prayer with intensity, passion and persistence. We are called to ask, to seek, and to knock. In this video, we sit down with Carlos Ludeña, our Iglesia del Pueblo Associate Pastor, to explore the second part of Jesus's teachings on prayer "Seek and you will find."
