Come explore the meaning of life from a Christian perspective!
Over ten weekly sessions, the Alpha gathering includes a delicious meal, a short talk on a different topic, and a chance to participate in small-group discussions where you can discuss the deeper questions of life in a relevant and non-threatening environment. Alpha is relaxed, low-key, and fun.
Each weekly session covers a fundamental question, such as: Who is Jesus? Why and how do I pray? How does God guide us?
Where did Alpha get started?
Alpha began in England in 1990. Now more than 29 million people from all around the world have completed the Alpha course. Meeting in homes, schools, universities, military posts, and even prisons, Alpha is supported by churches of every major Christian denomination.
Is it for you?
Everyone is welcome to participate in the Alpha course! Some people want to investigate whether God exists and if there is any point to life; others are concerned about what happens after death. Still others may have attended church in the past, but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith. People at Alpha come from many different backgrounds and hold many different viewpoints, but most come with the same basic objective: To establish whether God and Jesus Christ have any real relevance for their lives.
What will it cost?
The Alpha course is free. Guests are invited to make a voluntary contribution toward the food if they’re able. (A donation is also encouraged to cover childcare expenses on Monday evenings and Wednesday mornings.)
