Brunch With A Missionary May 07, 2019
What’s it like to be a Family Nurse Practitioner in rural Ethiopia, serving a Muslim community where the closest hospital is over an hour and a half away over treacherous roads? Women of all ages are invited to join us as veteran WBC missionary Kim Scheel shares some of the joys and challenges of investing an entire career in medical missions in Ethiopia and Ethiopia. Get glimpses of how God blessed the work of her team and husband Dan as they helped build an entire mission station with a school, medical center, and camp—providing on-ramps to the Gospel and a thriving church. Hear stories of hope, of dreams dashed in this precarious part of the world, and celebrate a new chapter as Kim now directs the health care services at the largest Christian international school in Kenya. Register online, in the Global Outreach Center, or by calling Jan Sokoloski. A $5 donation is appreciated and complimentary child care is available for those who preregister.
