Join us for An Evening in the Caribbean as we journey to the Dominican Republic, experience the contrasts of this island, and see the incredible ways God is using the Vic and Leslie Trautwein and Kids Alive to bring hope to over 2,000 kids at risk.
Get glimpses of the DR through the décor, visual media, music, and enlightening stories from Vic and Leslie, who left professional careers in Wheaton 20 years ago to invest their lives in serving under-resourced youth. Today, the Kids Alive ministry they head up in this part of the Caribbean is bringing hope to a generation of vulnerable children and youth through ten schools and orphanages.
Plus, WBC Worship Pastor Jonathan Jerez—also with Dominican roots—has assembled a musical ensemble to bring us a taste of the culture. Hear how he grew up in the DR and attended sports academies there with dreams of a baseball career. But after coming to faith, he traded his bat for a guitar and Christian music.
