September 5 – December 12
(No meeting November 28)
While parents attend our Thursday night programs and support groups, kids and students (6 weeks – 8th grade) have fun as they learn a biblical perspective on life’s hurts and disappointments, anchoring them in Christ.
If you have kids (6 weeks – 8th grade), they can have fun in our Kids Crew program while you participate in your Thursday night class. Kids Crew is designed for kids whose families are going through changes or hardships such as separation, death, divorce, addiction, struggle, or any other trauma. Weekly support allows children to express their feelings and meet other children in similar circumstances.
Using biblically based curriculum, we work through topics such as:
• Building trust
• Dealing with anger
• Sad feelings
• Family changes
Our volunteers are dedicated and hopeful, believing that God is the great Healer. It is because of Him that we know change can happen! Leaders reinforce that God takes the circumstances of our lives and over time makes them into something good. At Kids Crew everyone is valued, loved and supported in their journey at whatever stage they are in.
Kids Crew meets Thursday evenings during the fall (September through December) and winter/spring (January through April), taking a break during the summer.
It is of utmost importance for parents and families that join groups to be committed to coming. Occasional attendance impedes personal healing and hurts the group’s dynamics. Keep in mind that registration signifies your willingness to commit.
