The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.

He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 23:1-6

To know without a doubt that we are loved by God is a game-changer.

Love provides. The Lord will give me everything I need. My dependence is not upon myself but upon the One who loves me and who has promised to complete His work in my life.

Love restores. God brings cycles of rest and refreshment through time spent in meditation on His Word, wherein my faith grows.

Love safeguards. The way ahead may not be evident, but as I look back, His leading has consistently directed me away from wrongdoing and given opportunities to acknowledge His love for me.

Love shields. I live in a fallen world of chaos, conflict, confusion, and evil, but the continual loving presence of God keeps me from being controlled by fear. When I see trouble on every side, His weapons are more powerful than the enemy; therefore I can be at peace.

Love sustains. In every and any place and situation, He will nourish me.

Love honors. I have been selected by God in His mercy to fulfill the purpose for which He created me. There is nothing within myself that deserves receipt of this incredible privilege—yet I am created in love.

Love endows. His provision of grace poured out upon my life is abundantly more than enough.

Love preserves. His faithfulness can be trusted to keep me as long as I remain on planet Earth.

Love never ends. I can confidently look forward to eternal life in the presence of the God who loves me, because Jesus my Savior is love.
