On behalf of leadership, I am thrilled to announce that after a prayerful search, we have hired Edgar Alvarado as one of our Middle School Directors, effective July 17.
In his role, Edgar will partner with Lia Norman in leading our Middle School Ministry for 6th through 8th grade students. He will be part of the Student Life Team as they come alongside families in the discipleship of students.
Edgar has served within students, young adults, and worship ministries in both lay and staff roles in three churches throughout the Chicago area since 2009. Most recently, he has been on staff at a church in Mount Prospect where he led the technical production team. Concurrently, he was finishing his dual Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies and Educational Ministries from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and completing his church’s Pastoral Residency program.
Edgar and his wife Samantha have a two-year-old son named Oliver. They love the Lord and desire to help students understand and own their faith. He is a connector, building intentional relationships and caring deeply for people, the church, and the work he does. Please pray for them as they transition as a family, start ministering, and begin to make connections here.
Please note that on Sunday, July 21, we will pray over them in our Sunday Services.
