Dear WBC and IDP Familia,
We have an exciting staff announcement to share on our Sending and Outreach team. Chelsea Kesavadhana-Carrillo has been promoted to Local Outreach Director effective July 1! We are looking forward to what is ahead for Local Outreach across our entire church family.
Chelsea has faithfully served on staff as our Local Outreach Volunteer Coordinator and Administrative Assistant since 2016. In that role Chelsea has grown in her leadership, team building, mobilization, and equipping of volunteers for their next steps of mission alongside our key Local Outreach partners. Chelsea has recruited and placed more than 25 interns for our Puente Summer Program, who have each served 24-40 hours a week. Not only has she helped to implement this effective and sought after internship program, she has been instrumental in shaping nine great professional development and training times to better equip each cohort of interns for their next steps in ministry. Recently, for the 2023 Christmas Store and 2024 CareFest, I observed Chelsea’s amazing organizational and team building skills as she stepped into new levels of leadership in these two key ministry outreaches of our Church. Chelsea and her husband, Isaac, have faithfully served in Student Life and other ministries at WBC over their years here, living out their passions for discipleship, students, and missions.
Most importantly, Chelsea loves the Lord, loves WBC/IDP, and has a great passion to mobilize people for God’s mission to love our neighbors well.
