Maturing Adults Gathering March 22, 2018
Down Memory Lane
A concert by vocalist and keyboard artist Burt Kettinger
For our March Maturing Adult Gathering, vocalist Burt Kettinger will take us on a musical tour "Down Memory Lane," featuring favorite songs and hymns from decades gone by—including Burt's renditions of the music of the beloved gospel vocalist George Beverly Shae, a longtime partner in the ministry of evangelist Billy Graham.
No stranger to Wheaton Bible Church, Burt's rich bass/baritone voice has been a source of encouragement and inspiration throughout the Chicagoland area for many years, both through Moody Radio, as well as appearances at churches and conference centers across the Midwest and beyond. The solo voice on Moody Presents in the 1970s and 80s, Burt was also a regular soloist for many years on the weekly Song in the Night broadcast from Historic Moody Memorial Church.
Having grown up at the piano, Burt's keyboard stylings add to the versatility and beauty of his concerts. In addition to a master's degree in vocal performance from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, Burt is also an ordained minister with the Evangelical Free Church of Chicago.
Invite a friend and plan to join us as we hear longtime favorites that will encourage, uplift, and touch our hearts.
Tickets are available at $10 online, through some Adult Classes, at the Information Desk, or by calling Joan or Annabel at 630.260.1800. Tickets must be purchased by noon Tuesday, March 20. Ticket price covers the cost of the meal and the program.
