Looking Back: The Music of the 50's

Featuring popular vocalist Maureen Christine and instrumentalist Michael Bazan

We'll enjoy the unforgettable songs of the 1950's—both sweet and sophisticated—on April 27 as we welcome back vocalist Maureen Christine and her husband, Michael Bazan, on the saxophone. The couple will also be performing popular Christian songs, adding inspiration to this delightful evening of musical entertainment.

Maureen, an award-winning vocalist and broadway-style entertainer, has recorded two CDs that have seen national distribution. Her voice has been described as "crystal clear, not a note or syllable wasted." We loved her performance years ago, and look forward to her return—this time joined by Michael, whose saxophone promises to bring the 50's alive! In addition to his role as a performing artist, Michael is director of the band program at Wredling Middle School and adjunct saxophone professor at the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music.

Tickets for our dinner and program are $10 each and can be purchased at the Welcome Desk, online, or through several Adult Classes. Questions? Contact Susan Hands or Annabel Garza, 630.260.1600, for assistance with registration. Tickets include dinner and program, and must be purchased by Tuesday, April 25. A donation box will be available for those attending only the program, to help cover program costs.
