Opportunities for charity are everywhere, and there are plenty of credible places to give. In fact, you think Wheaton Bible Church is just another one of them. To us, one thing is different. Our giving isn't about charity. It's about worship.
But why give money to the church?
Well, to put it simply, it's what God says to do. Giving is at the heart of the Christian life and at the heart of the Gospel. God Himself has set the pattern for giving, and there is no worthier goal than to give as He gives. We believe giving is an act of worship, an outward demonstration of a heart being given more and more to God. "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also" (Matthew 6:21).
Giving is a heart issue that gets to the core of what we believe and what we want to become. We give out of grateful hearts in recognition that God owns everything, and we are to be faithful stewards of all He entrusts to us.
If you are a part of the Wheaton Bible Church family, there are a few ways you can give. Each week, there is an opportunity in our worship services to give. You can participate in that time, or give your offering online following the link below.
More and more individuals and families are choosing to give electronically. This free and convenient service simplifies the giving process, and allows you to give 24/7. It's easy to start, change, or stop. If you are interested in giving any one-time or reoccurring gifts online, click here.
ACH payments are an easy way to give to the church monthly. Scheduled ACH transactions are automatically transferred from your bank account to the church's bank account. It improves stewardship, encourages consistency, and increases our administrative effectiveness. If you would like to set this up, use a WBCDirect agreement form, or contact the business office at 630.876.6625.
Cash and checks are the most common way people give to the church. Make checks payable to "Wheaton Bible Church." If you would like your cash gifts to be reflected on your giving statement, use an offering envelope and be sure to write your name and address clearly. Unless you designate a specific fund or ministry, all gifts are directed to the General Fund, which supports our ministries.
For those interested, the church provides giving envelopes. Gifts received in these giving envelopes are tracked and sent out in a quarterly statement. If you would like to sign up to receive giving envelopes, please check the box on the envelope located in one of the chair racks in the worship center or call the church business office.
